SIM Cards with NFC Technology- Avea with Bonus
Avea and Garanti Bankası have jointly undersigned a project to bring Near Field Communication (NFC) Technology into being on all mobile phones. Mobile payment solution, a world first, developed by, also supports Mastercard and Gemalto, and removes the necessity to purchase a mobile phone compatible with NFC technology. Rather, new SIM cards render the mobile phones used by subscribers compatible with this technology. Avea customers can make contactless payments with their mobile phones, as well as with their credit cards, thanks to new NFC-enabled SIM cards set to launch a new era in payment systems. New agreements to be signed will allow the use of mobile phones in many different venues such as public transport (buses), building gateways, stadiums and vending machines.
Avea Mobile Payment Service
Mobile Payment Service is another mobile finance solution facilitating the lives of Avea customers. Through this service, Avea customers can purchase services/products from all member businesses bearing the Avea Mobile Payment Logo, and can pay for the service/product purchased via their invoices, or else a top-up amount available on their cards. The Avea Mobile Payment Service allows customers to shop with a daily limit of TL 40 without using a credit card.
Who is Where? Where is it?
The Who is Where service allows Avea customers to learn the location of any subscriber they want through web, wap and SMS channels in accordance with their permission. In addition, Avea users can also access the personal information of subscribers by entering a field previously designated by them via this service.
Additionally, the Where is It service provides the location of the nearest useful point sought after (Hospital, Police Station, Pharmacy, Bank, etc.) through SMS and MMS.
The Avea Hello Doctor Service
Within the framework of the Hello Doctor Service realized through the co-operation of Avea and Acıbadem Mobile Healthcare Services, members can get connected with a doctor by dialing up 9911 through a voice or video call, and ask any question they wish related to their health, as well as general health information and medical science.
Co-Operation with Other Brands
Avea has undersigned another first for Turkey in “Mobile Telecommunications Co-operation”. In this system, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Trabzonspor and Beşiktaş provide GSM service to their supporters through FenerCell, GSMobil, TrabzonCell and KartalCell brands. Uğurcell, which has been formed through co-operation with the Uğur Private Teaching Institution, is Turkey's first GSM brand aimed education specific to student need. With the help of this co-operation, students can obtain information on updated topics related to their education, and talk with their friends, parents and teachers at advantageous tariffs.
