Türk Telekom Group’s Strategy

Our objective is to ensure our leadership in communications and services markets by attaching unique value to core telecommunications services and creating competitive advantage in the adjacent businesses to become the main communication and entertainment hub in the region.

Our focus is to enable our residential and corporate customers to collaborate, communicate, access information/media on any device, in a cost effective way in order to manage and engage in personal, social and business life anywhere.

In order to achieve our objectives, our strategies are;

  • Focusing on Fixed Access to Strengthen Presence in Home and Business

Türk Telekom maintains its leadership in fixed voice by offering the best value to its customers. In addition to minute bundles, we offer various VAS and loyalty programs by partnering with leading brands. Our offerings included many VAS in areas like home security, healthcare, and home insurance.

Our Home Advantage (“Ev Avantaj”) bundle packages offer bundle minutes starting from 100 minutes and all residential customers have free onnet minutes from 7 p.m. till 7 a.m. We apply a micro segmentation approach in managing our fixed voice customer base. We also continue to upsell our customers to bundle and higher packages. Türk Telekom, TTNET and AVEA jointly offer unique value to corporate and residential fixed voice customers.

  • Becoming the Growth Leader in Total Broadband

Our superfast broadband access enables us to offer high quality TV and other value added services to millions of households. We apply a multi-play (internet, phone, TV, VAS) strategy in order to offer the best total broadband solution to our customers.

Our retail internet service provider TTNET is a full broadband provider. TTNET offers additional mobility with mobile broadband and Wi-Fi packages. TTNET’s Wi-Fi network with thousands of hotspots covers the whole country.

We also play a key role in increasing PC and broadband penetration in Turkey through our investments and device offerings via distribution channels of Türk Telekom, TTNET and Avea; more than 1,000 locations across the country.

  • Positioning TV&Bundles as Growth Engine

We have a segmented approach to offer bundles to our customers. With targeted doubleplay and tripleplay offers, we enhance convenience of our customers with single invoice and maximize the subscriber lifetime value. We leverage fixed voice, fixed broadband, TV, mobile voice and mobile broadband services extensively in our bundle offers by exploiting synergy opportunities among group companies.

TV is a critical component of our multi-play strategy in fixed broadband. We aim to provide a superior TV experience to our customers via IPTV with its interactivity features. IPTV investment will continue in parallel with fiber investments. We also aim to be a leading player in multiscreen TV.

  • Seizing Digital Opportunities and Growing with ICT Beyond Connectivity

Türk Telekom Group positions itself as a one-stop-shop Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) service provider. Through its subsidiaries and technical capabilities Türk Telekom Group is capable of providing a wide range of ICT services including Managed Services, Datacenter Services and System Integration services. Those capabilities together with providing connectivity services make Türk Telekom Group not only a first choice for delivering ICT services to different verticals at enterprise customer segment but also a turn-key solution provider to deliver big system integration projects.

Türk Telekom positions cloud services under its Data Center services. Thanks to its datacenter and technical capabilities, Türk Telekom Group is able to provide wide range of cloud services (e.g. IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) for different customer segments. In addition to cloud services for enterprise segment, private cloud service and products are already offered to residential customers.

  • Maximizing the Opportunities in Mobile Growth

Our mobile arm Avea is the youngest and the most dynamic operator in Turkish GSM sector, offering superior quality at competitive prices.

With the vision of being "the most admired and preferred" mobile communications company in Turkey, Avea aims to grow both in mobile voice and mobile data by focusing on;

  • Consistent Customer Experience – through continuous improvement at all customer touch points from network to all channels
  • Best Value Perception – giving customer the best value based on needs
  • Total Communications Provider - offering the full menu of communications
  • Innovation through partnership with sector leaders – teaming up with partners in the value chain that are bringing incremental value to its customers
  • Leveraging Convergence Strategy and Group Synergies

Türk Telekom Group aims to become a speedy total communications provider for consumers and corporates by pushing attractive bundles and end-to-end solutions for all needs and segments further with our group synergy. We also optimize and integrate channels for sales excellence in order to offer bundled products and services as a group.

  • Regional Expansion

Türk Telekom owns operations outside Turkey in Central and Southern Europe. Our group company Pantel is currently a regional player, serving as an infrastructure provider for cross-national data transfer and plans to expand its operations to other countries in the region. Türk Telekom always considers potential acquisition and partnership opportunities in the region.

  • Research & Development

Our aim is to develop innovative products, increase the group's patent portfolio, anticipate, explore and adopt new technologies that impact our group’s business through a best in class in house R&D organization, and a strong external scientific and partner ecosystem.

We collaborate with universities to promote open innovation and close interaction between scientific endeavor and private enterprise. We also work with partners to develop prototypes that may lead to innovative products and services, as well as production and initial deployment support of suitable projects.
